Drug addiction:Drugs are spreading so much rapidly in our societies in the form of cigarette, alcohol, heroine. These drugs give mentally relaxation that is why the person develops crave for it and he wants it at any cost. Its a curse in our society on which we have to take control else it would destroy our whole nation.
Causes of drug addiction:
- Most of the addicts belong to college students who gets disappointed due to study failure. In some of the cases there are family problems, they don't get mentally support from family which makes them rebel and for their mental relaxation they move towards drug.
- Joblessness is also a very important factor which drags the people toward drugs and they keep degrading themselves for studying so long and still they are not getting job.
- Reinforcement of parents to children for their marital decisions. Most of the families don't allow them to get marry where they want to and in the result children become disappointed.
- Strictness and unfriendly environment in homes attracts the children toward outside and they get involve in wrong societies without the knowledge of their parents.
- Poverty plays a very vital role in it.
- Drug usage can lead to various types of health problems like lack of appetite ,vomiting , nausea , muscle pain, damaging of brain cells , liver , pancreas, heart failure.
- The person who becomes drugs addict starts losing his senses which can spoil his relationships and the respect in society.He starts breaking the norms and values of society.
- Usage of drugs cause sudden mood changes due to which a person's behavior becomes unpredictable and he might become the victim of aggression and depression.
- A person might get multiple personality disorder which can cause problems in his job which in result would cause financial problems.
- Due to drug addiction people attempt crimes.
Conclusion:From above all points its is concluded that these are mental factors which causes drug addiction. It can lead a person toward all negative things.Mental health is important as much as physical health. A person can lead a healthy life only when he is mentally relaxed and stable.
A great philosopher said "Half of the jails will be closed if we close drug shops"
Solutions:
- To stop this curse we need to guide the students.
- Parents should keep an eye on their children and friendly environment at home so their child could discuss his problems with family.
- There should be good understanding between the teacher and student so the student could tell his studies problems to the teacher instead to getting disappointed.
- There should be special T.V programs regarding mental health and stability.
- There are many rehabilitation centers which give special treatment to the drug addiction people, all the victims of drugs should concern those centers to get rid of this disease.
